We offers you SPACE to FOCUS on your CRAFT and CREATE new work.
The SAGA residency is open to:
* photographers
* bookmakers
* writers
and other creative artists from all over the world.
SAGA offers partly sponsored Artist in Residence.

SAGA is also proud member of Nordic Analog Network (NAN), where artists working with analog photography methods living in the Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden can apply for fully sponsored residencies. LENGTHS OF AIR SAGA:
2 - 4 weeks. The residence period last from
Sunday to Sunday.
You will be free to set your own work schedule.
We can help organise tours and studio visits
to other artists in the area.

The Artist will have to cover the cost of materials
they needs to create art.

SAGA can offer mentoring/ guidance/ coaching to our Artist in Residence,
and can assist in booking models, and help in securing interesting locations to use as backdrops for your artwork.
​
COST PAID BY ARTIST (listed in Norwegian Kroner):
2 weeks: NOK 9.100,- (NOK 650,- pr day)
4 weeks: NOK 18.200,- (NOK 650,- pr day)
Regular cost is kr. 1700,- pr day. Day rate including accommodation and access to studio and darkroom.
SAGA covers kr. 1050,- pr day. Artist covers kr. 650,- pr day.

As a sponsored AIR you might be asked to give a lecture or have an open studio session during your stay.
We also ask sponsored AIR to donate a piece from his/her artwork, created at SAGA, to be part of our permanent collection.
