Whether you’re seeking inspiration,

CREATIVE ROADTRIP DESCRIPTION:
Join NORDphotographys founder Elisabeth N Aanes this October for an unforgettable road trip through Iceland, designed to spark your creativity and help you find balance in your artistic practice.

With years of experience exploring Iceland, Elisabeth will guide you to her favourite locations, hidden gems, unique hotels, and rejuvenating spa facilities.

Traveling along the iconic Ring Road, you’ll be immersed in the breathtaking landscapes of this land where fire and ice coexist. From majestic waterfalls and steaming geysers to black sand beaches and glacier lagoons, every stop is an opportunity to create and connect with the raw beauty of Iceland.

This journey isn’t just about photography—it’s also about nurturing your creative spirit and making space for reflection and renewal. Each day will include visits to Iceland’s most unique geothermal pools, spas, and hot springs, where you can unwind, recharge, and soak in the magic of the land.

October offers the perfect backdrop for this adventure, with dark nights that may reveal the dancing northern lights and ever-changing light conditions ideal for photography. The crisp weather heightens the joy of outdoor heated pools, natural hot springs, and saunas, making it a sensory experience unlike any other.

Throughout the trip, you’ll have plenty opportunities to photograph, in addition to share work, and discuss the artistic process with your fellow travellers. Elisabeth will organise group sessions which includes brainstorming, inspiration-sharing, and image critiques, helping you refine your vision and deepen your exploration of this land, and possibly yourself.
We will start our journey in Reykjavik, where Elisabeth will give a presentation of our route and what to expect for each day. Each evening we send out info about our next hotel, our route, and suggested location along the way that might be of interest, in addition to tips on geothermal pools, spas, and hot springs that is in our vicinity. Our goal is to reconnect as a group every evening for dinner either at out hotel, or near by restaurants.

On some occasions, our Creative Roadtrip has featured guest instructors joining Elisabeth, creating a unique opportunity for participants to explore themes aligned with our instructor’s expertise. In other years—such as 2025—we welcome photographers from diverse disciplines and artistic approaches to embark on this journey together. Designed for experienced enthusiasts and professionals, the road trip offers a distinctive way to experience Iceland through an artistic lens.
