How do I get to SAGA?GETTING TO SAGA By Plane: The closest airport to SAGA is Trondheim International Airport. From the airport, take the northbound train, which stops at the airport terminal about every two hours, towards Steinkjer. You will disembark the train at Røra Station (about a one hour and ten minutes ride from the airport) where our van will be to greet you and transport you to SAGA (5 minute drive). Estimated traveltime to SAGA (times include direct flight to Trondheim + local train to SAGA): Oslo - 2 hours, Bodø - 2 hours, Copenhagen - 3 hours, Stockholm - 3 hours. New York City - 12 hours (NYC+Oslo+Trondheim). By Train You will disembark the train at Røra Station where our van will be to greet you and transport you to SAGA (5 minute drive). Estimated travel time to SAGA by train from: Oslo - 9 hours, Trondheim - 2 hours, Bodø - 9.5 hours, Storlien (Sweden) - 3.5 hours. Search train schedule. By Car Follow E6 to Røra, then RV 755 to Straumen.

How and when to register for a workshop?We prefer that you register online on this website, but you may also register by phone or by sending us an e-mail at post@nordphotography.com. Before registrations you should read the workshop description for your desired workshop thoroughly. By clicking the blue register button, you will get access to the registration form. For every registration we get we will assume that you have read the workshop description. We urge you to register for your desired workshop as soon as possible since classes may fill. If a class is full we will place your name on a waiting list. You are welcome to call to check on space availability.

How do I pay for the workshop?Shortly after registration for a workshop you will receive an invoice via e-mail for the deposit to be paid within two weeks. You will also receive an invoice for the rest of the tuition at the same time as the deposit. This invoice is to be paid no later then one month before the workshop starts. All fees are to be paid in Norwegian Kroner. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:
 For our International students there are two ways to pay for the workshop. Please list your preferred way as a comment when registration for the workshop. With PAYPAL:
 We offer Pay Pal’s invoice service, which means you will receive a e-mail with a link to a Pay Pal invoice shortly after registration. For Pay Pal service there is a handling fee of 5% that will be added to your invoice. With BANK TRANSFER:
 You will receive an invoice from NORDphotography with all the information needed for a bank transfer. The transaction fee for a foreign transfer is the participant’s responsibilities. Be sure to cover all the cost for the transaction so your trasnfer match the amount on the invice.

What do I bring to the workshop?Specific requirements are listed on individual workshop pages. For all workshops, we recommend to bring the following: - Your digital camera. If the camera is new, bring the manual too! - External hard drive for your computer for back ups - Extra memory cards for your camera - Laptop - Required software must be installed on the laptop before the workshop starts - Pen tablet or mouse - Electronic adapter and/or converter for the country you will be visiting. - a monopod or a trypod can be useful For multimedia workshops only: - Headphones - Audio recorder (digital) - A camera with video function For our workshop at The Hermitage Theatre, St Petersburg: - a monopod - a camera silencer

When can I book my ticket to the workshop location?We ask that you do not book your ticket until we have confirmed that the minimum number of participants have signed on. This confirmation will be sent out no later then a month before the workshop start, or as soon as the minimum number is reached.

Who covers the travel expenses to the workshop?Travel expenses are each participant’s own responsibility.

Do I need a travel insurance?We suggest that you always have traveler’s insurance when travelling.

Can a workshop be cancelled, and what happens then?"For workshops to run we need a minimum of five participants, unless otherwise noted in the workshop description. If we for some reason are not able to reach our minimum number, the workshop will be canceled and you will receive a full refund of money paid to NORDphotography. NORDphotography is not responsible for reimbursement of non-refundable airline / train tickets in the event of a program cancellation. Our line of liability is to return all monies paid to the workshops. Please check on your workshop status before making travel arrangements.

What is the max number of participants on a workshop?There will be a maximum of 10 students in each workshop, unless otherwise noted in the workshop description.

What is the minimum number of participants on a workshop?We run workshops with a minimum of 4 participants.

What happens if I cancel my seat on a workshop?Enrollment is limited in our workshops, so once you have registered for a class, we are counting on you to attend. The registration is binding. We do however understand that sometimes plans fall trough and offer the following cancellation policies: Withdraw more than 60 days before the start of class and we will refund all monies paid, minus an administration fee of NOK 1500,-. Withdraw 60 days or less before the start of class and we will charge you with the full workshop tuition.

What happens if I get sick and can't attend a workshop?If you get sick and there is less then 60 days before the workshop takes place, you are liable for the full workshop tuition. NORDphotography can unfortunetly not cover the tuition cost due to a medical emergency. If you have to cancel due to illness we do recommend you to try and find someone else who can take your place. We accept a change of participant due to illness. If you get sick and there is more then 60 days before the workshop takes place your cancelation fee is 1500 NOK. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance.
