THE PERSONAL PROJECT
A year long online Mentor Class
with Anna Clarén

Instructor Anna Clarén, who is one of Swedens most recognised photographers, is known for using the camera to tell personal stories.
This Mentor Group is suited for photographers and entusiasts with some experience in working on personal projects. ​​
Participants are expected to come to the Mentor Class with either:
1) a project you are working on that you want to finish within the next year
2) a new project or idea you seek to develop under the guidance and mentoring of Anna.

The main structure of this class is image critic of your work, mainly from instructor Anna, but also your fellow participants. For each meeting you are asked to upload new work, and expand your project. During the months we spend together you will, through Anna's skilful guidance, develop your project step by step, and end up with a well crafted body of work in the end. You will also learn to write a statement and create a PDF presentation of your work.

Time: 19:00 - 21:00 (CET) / 1PM to 3PM (EST). ​

SCHEDULE:
The class will meet once a month, over a 12 month period, beginning November 27TH 2025 and ending on October 22TH 2026. There will be no meeting in July, so a total of 11 meetings.
The last class (October) will be conducted as an online portfolio review, where each participants get to present their work in front of a panel of reviewers, who then will evaluate and discuss your work among themselves. The panel will consist of Mentor Anna, pluss 2 invited professionals from different branches of photography. The panel discussion will be streamed LIVE, and your final portfolio will, with your consent, be presented on NORDphotography's webpage. ​

You will receive a e-mail from NORDphotography with further inquiries after your registration. We might ask for a description of the project you want to work with in this class, and images/ sketches you have created for the project. We do this to make sure that this is the right Mentor Group for you and your project.

ONLINE COURSE TUITION:
NOK 26.000,- (currency converter)
The payment will be divided in 3.
After registration: NOK 10.000,-
March 2026: NOK 8.000,-
August 2026: NOK 8.000,-

PAYMENT:
Norwegian participant: we will send an invoice to your e-mail.

International students:
You have 3 option of payment - please list your preferred payment method when registering for a class:
CREDIT CARD: you can make a payment directly from our website. There is a transaction fee (3 to 4 %) charged by Stripe that will be added to the tuition.
PAY PAL: For PayPal payments there is a handling fee of 6 % of the amount that will be added to the invoice.
INTERNATIONAL BANK TRANSFER: For bank transfer there is a transaction fee. Check with your bank for the amount, and make sure the transaction fee is not deducted from the payment for the class. In our experience bank transfers have the lowest cost.

NB: Await payment until you have received a confirmation of your seat and an invoice from NORD-photography.
We need a min of 5 participants to run the course.

Withdrawal and refund policy:
Enrollment is limited in our classes, so once you have registered for a class – we are counting on you to attend. The registration is binding. We do however understand that sometimes plans fall trough and offer the following cancellation policies:
Withdraw more than 30 days before the start of class and we will refund all monies paid, minus an administration fee of NOK 1500,-. Withdraw 30 days or less before the start of class and we will charge you with the full workshop tuition.

NORDphotography is not responsible for cancellations due to medical emergencies.
Cancelation Rules:
For online course to run we need a minimum of five participants, unless otherwise noted in the class description. If we for some reason are not able to reach our minimum number, the class will be canceled and you will receive a full refund.
There will be a maximum of 10 students in each class, unless otherwise noted in the workshop description.
