Trym shares his backstory, and talks about how he came to find his artistic expression in the artic landscape. He talks about his creative process and how he has developed his visual language. How he plans his projects, and what he seeks to explore in his work. It will be an hour spent with an incredible artist and human being experiencing some of the most breathtaking landscapes you can find in the northern areas of our world.
Trym Ivar Bergsmo is a Norwegian nature photographer and visual artist, residing in Harstad. He is educated at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California. Bergsmo has published several books, been involved in a variety of multimedia and theatre projects and had many photo exhibitions. Photographic, he is particularly famous for his photographs from Lofoten and Northern Norway. Bergsmo’s images have been purchased by the Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum in Tromsø, the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Moscow and Queen Sonja of Norway. He is a member of the Norwegian Nature Photographers Association and Nordnorske Bildende Kunstnere.
